We had a very positive early dinner experience at Café Epicure in downtown Sarasota. We visited on a Friday afternoon, when this part of downtown was surprisingly quiet, and we found plenty of street parking nearby. We were the only guests when we arrived. We were greeted and seated promptly, and hearing members of the staff speaking Italian with one another added a nice authentic touch to the atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The only small negative was that when we asked a couple of simple questions about the beverage options, she had to check with the bar rather than being able to answer directly. Otherwise, the service was excellent. Our food arrived quickly, the presentation was appealing, and everything tasted excellent; exactly what we had hoped for from an Italian restaurant. Our server also checked with us several times to make sure everything was to our liking. The restaurant offers several different dining environments. We chose the quieter main dining room, while a separate bar area with tables had a much livelier atmosphere. That section was a little too noisy for our taste, but people looking for a more energetic set

Galina, The Manager, made sure we WERE WELL taken care of!! Can’t be more satisfied! Ariana our waitress, excellent service, 5 star service! The food top notch! The pizza, top 3 in Sarasota! Great all around experience!

Got right in, Monday night. Absolutely the best pizza I've ever had. So many options. The olive tapenade with the bread was so fabulous. Kept it for my pizza. We'll definitely be back next time in town!

Nice find in downtown Sarasota for Italian cuisine. The burata cheese appetizer was amazing, bread was warm and the pizza was great as well. They have a full service bar and cocktails were made well. There is a good amount to choose from and they even mixed and matched for us. The atmosphere was inviting and most of the servers and kitchen staff were foreign. I felt like the food was authentic. We walked here after the art show which was convenient, but parking in this area can be tricky. We would go back for lunch again.

The lasagna was so good. So yummy. We had a last minute post-Valentine dinner. Thought we'd walk-in to a place. Luckily this place had seating. We had fresh bread. My kid tried the ice cream-it was a beautifully presented Gelato. I was so hungry that time. We had just lugged 200 boxes that day. The lasagna hit the spot it melted in my mouth. So good. Highly recommend 👌
